Automatically wipe the phone if not unlocked for a certain period of time?
Hi, I am new to Graphene and not using it yet, just sharing an idea
I now there is a duress PIN function, but from my understanding it doesn't provide plausible deniability, which means if you give it to captors they will know you made them wipe the phone on purpose. I think an interesting function to have (if not already existing) would be to be able to set-up something like "if the phone is not unlocked for x straight hours, wipe everything".
In the case of kidnapping by "law enforcement" for example, if you set the OS so that it wipes the phone after 48 hours without an unlock, it would allow you to buy time by saying that you do not refuse to comply with their request but would like to talk to a lawyer first. That way you can let the 48 hours pass then give them a code that would allow access to a clean profile (or even better, a second profile with some apps so it looks like it is actually how the phone always was). This way the captors wouldn't know that something was wiped from the phone since the moment they took it from you. If you set it to wipe after 48 hours for example it allows you to benefit from this while reducing the risk of it getting wiped by accident, as people rarely spend 48 (or even 24) hours without unlocking their phone.
Sorry if I missed something or made basic mistakes, do you know if such a function exists or could exist?
