WHMDC is a self-hosted billing and automation platform for web hosting providers.

It covers the things hosting businesses rely on day to day billing and invoicing, support tickets, client management, domains, service automation, and integrations in a single system, with the aim of keeping core functionality in the core.

The reason it exists is fairly simple. After running hosting companies for years, We got tired of how fragmented billing platforms had become. Essential workflows often require paid add-ons, third-party modules, or custom glue code just to operate comfortably at scale.

WHMDC was built to take a different approach: include the fundamentals by default, provide clean extension points through APIs and hooks, and keep the system predictable to run and maintain.

It’s not trying to replace every workflow for every business, and it won’t be for everyone. But for hosting providers who have looked at platforms like WHMCS, Blesta, or ClientExec and felt friction over time, it offers another option that prioritises simplicity and long-term maintainability.

We are sharing this here mainly to document what the project is and what it’s trying to solve. Feedback and discussion are always welcome.
