to ppl that don’t do work in group projects …why
i’m in a year long group project for a course. this one girl in it is a premed and has an interview for med this cycle so i’d imagine she’s really smart. that being said she dropped the ball multiple times for our group project and hasn’t contributed at all since the beginning of the year.
while she’s really nice and is always willing to help me and the other girl end up still doing everything since she never follows through on that.
she’s always late to meetings , and NEVER has her work done. i usually end up redoing it.
to make things worse, she has shown no interest or signs in changing this behaviour. in fact she literally told our prof that she didn’t do anything since she was not feeling well. and this was the same prof that was her med school reference??? like i’m so confused. i would have thought she’d haev more self awareness.
i have also directly confronted her about how the workload burden is unfair and how i would love to see more actor participation on her part. she obviously has not changed and don’t think she will.
idk if she has always been like this but her CV must be so accomplished to get a med school interview and herMCAT was cracked too. so how can she be such an unreliable worker is beyond me. additionally, no idea what’s going on and if there are personal barriers to participation for her since whenever i bae asked she doesn’t mention anything and lies chronically about having to randomly pic up her grandma, help her brother her groceries and dips during our meetings. she’s never prepared.
anyways so sorry for the rant. it sucks to confront her because she probably hates me for it but idk what to do anymore lol.
my question is are poole who never do work in group projects self awareness or do they just chronically lie and know what they are doing on purpose? or maybe she has some underlying issues but idk how to ask about that any more than i already have.
any advice at all is appreciated since i have exhausted all at i know.
