I feel like I can't date outside my culture and idk how that aligns with my political beliefs
I'm a southern white woman of scottish and french canadian descent. I've dated a few men from other cultures and noticed something after awhile that I feel like I'm not allowed to talk about.
Men of very different cultural backgrounds, typically the children of immigrants from the eastern continents, think of western white women as a trophy, and treat them accordingly. I have never felt more dehumanized and objectified by anyone in my entire life. Its racism on their part, but the knee jerk reaction is to act like its me being a bigot, I think.
I want to make clear "my culture" is a broad statement... I think a lot of non-white people exist within "my culture" usually in the form of 3rd generation kids and beyond.
