PT at luxury gym — this shit ain’t worth it

Discussion

PT for almost 2 years at a luxury gym and I feel like I’m fighting for my life… constantly. Fighting for 35 sessions/pay period because too many clients take turns going away, getting sick, their kid being sick, ect ect. I do free assessments all the same showcase my value and experience, show them what they need to work on and how what we’d do together will work towards their goals, and MANY of them say PT is too expensive and even just paying for the membership already a lot of money.

For my other trainers who have worked at potentially the same luxury gym, what’s your experience? I’ve hit 90-100+ sessions/mo and am currently sitting at 70/month I can’t take the unstable income and schedule, constant driving back and forth bcuz it’s rare I have a whole day stacked, no health insurance because if I did pay for it, it is the shittiest insurance imaginable.

Does nobody really feel this heaviness? Or not care? I live with a roommate and am trying to afford to pay rent, other necessities, pay off loans (student), and invest for my future… but I rarely have enough to do so.

Does nobody find this way of life just ridiculous? Do other trainers working at luxury gyms not want to organize for better pay and benefits?

Or am I just another genz that’s too lazy to work… despite working my ass off

Send help. Empathy

in the responses would be nice
