Huge credit limit increase in BDO but can’t get a higher credit limit in BPI

Hello everyone!

I’m genuinely curious lang. I’ve had my BDO cc for more than a couple of years now, the credit limit recently hiked up to 780k from 300k. I think that’s a huge jump since it more than doubled my credit limit. But since I only have one credit card (Mastercard with BDO), I’m planning to get another credit card (Preferably Visa with BPI). Though when I inquired, they’re only offering me 100k credit limit? Is there something I can do to increase that? Is it possible to have my good credit standing from other banks as basis for the credit limit?
