Is going for surgery alone a good option

I have consulted a plastic surgeon for this, he says it's better if you get someone, he is okay either way. Should I go for the surgery alone, without telling anyone, is that doable? how safe is the surgery, I am having second thoughts. The hospital and doctor are top rated.
