AITAH for saying that pale skin isn't attractive?

English Second Language

Today I went shopping with my mom. I was searching for a liquid blush so I entered a makeup shop. My mum ended up buying a bunch of stuff so one of the girls working there offered to do her makeup and after that she offered to do mine. I refused but my mum insisted and I agreed.

I hate everything related to the beauty industry. I think the staff bully you until you feel insecure and feel the need of buying stuff. And that's what kinda happened.

The girl told me that I had extremely dry skin. I answered that I never apply cream on my face. That was a lie (I use suncream almost daily and use moisturinzing cream several times a week) but I felt insulted and I blurted it out. The girl told me that I was going to get wrinky real fast. I felt even more insulted.

The girl must have noticed it because she started to tell me that she loved working on pale skin and that she wished she had it too. I told her that it was a stupid thing to say since pale skin is unconfortable and unattractive and basically forces you to only wear dark colors. She must have taken it personally because she was rude the rest of the time.

My mom told me that I should not have answered the girls taunts and that I was too rude. AITAH?
