A Difficult Decision on Neo

To XREAL customers and the XREAL community,

When we introduced Neo, our goal was to expand what AR accessories could deliver. Over the past few months, our teams have continued extensive validation and stress testing across real-world and edge-case scenarios.

During final review, we identified areas that did not meet our rigorous internal reliability and standards. We looked very closely and tested Neo to the max. While the product generally functioned as designed in many respects, certain conditions raised concerns that made us uncomfortable shipping to customers; this includes 3rd party dock reliability, battery longevity, among other integrity and operational variance concerns.

Out of an abundance of care, we made the difficult decision not to ship Neo, rather than release a product that does not fully meet our standards.

Refund Information

Starting today:

• All Neo pre-orders will begin to be automatically refunded

• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

• No action is needed for customers

• As a gesture of good will, all pre-order customers will receive a $30 coupon to be used on xreal.com The coupon code will be sent via email — please check your inbox to claim it.

We know this news is disappointing. We share that disappointment. However, protecting the trust our community places in us will always come before timelines or launch plans.

Accessories that enhance AR experiences remain an area we care deeply about. The work done on Neo has generated valuable learnings that will inform future products — products that meet the level of stability, longevity, and validation our customers deserve.
