15.5 mo, and I need to get surgery

About 6 months ago I took a pretty bad fall, I fell again about 2 months ago and it made my knee 10x worse. The last few days it’s become unbearable. I can’t bed my leg, I can’t kneel, can’t stretch. I finally went to the doctor and come to find out, I tore my ACL. They let me know I’m going to need surgery to fix it.

Here’s my dilemma.. I’m a single mom, to a toddler. I can walk right now, (painfully) but I will be out of commission for a few weeks after I get this surgery. The doc said it’ll take 6-12 months to get full range back.

I don’t have this huge village to help me and my mother works, my father is on dialysis. I don’t have all these friends lined up to help. I don’t know what to do. I’m stressing myself out about it.

My son sees his father 6 hours every other week on Saturdays. (Court ordered)

I don’t trust him to have him longer, or even the 6 hours quite frankly.

Have any of you needed to get surgery while caring for your LO? And how did you manage?
