3/6 closing date group

Haven’t gotten the keys quite yet but wanted to share our process since reading everyone else’s helped me through mine. And to check in with the group closing on 3/6!

We put in our offer on 1/22 at asking with an escalation clause to beat any offer by “x” amount up to “x” amount. Apparently beat out an all cash offer and waived inspections!It was accepted 1/26. And we were under contract. Had inspection done fairly quick, went well. Normal homeowner maintenance to be expected, nothing big or major. Appraisal came back right on the money. Loan process was fairly easy. They didn’t require additional info and we just had to send in end of year paystub. We got the official clear to close on 2/20 and got the closing disclosure 2/28. Appointment is already set with the attorneys for closing on 3/6. Original closing date was 2/18 but got pushed back very early on in the process by the seller for their timeline.

Utilities set to transfer, box truck rental scheduled, parents and siblings coming to help. Massive range of emotions, nervous, anxious, excited, happy to be taking this next step in our lives, fear…

We’re officially in the “happy last ______ in our apartment” countdown and last night we celebrated happy last Friday night in our apartment! T-6 days, how’s everyone else feeling/doing?!
