Not able to Maintain same timings of medicine

Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) on 29th October 2025. At that time, I had right-sided pleural effusion (fluid accumulation in the lung), which was drained through tapping. After that, I was started on anti-TB treatment.

Initially, my regimen included Combutol (ethambutol), R-Cin (rifampicin), levofloxacin, isoniazid, and IV amikacin. However, I could not tolerate isoniazid, so it was removed from my treatment. Later, from 12th December, I was started on pyrazinamide (750 mg), and amikacin was discontinued. After completing almost two months of pyrazinamide, it was also stopped.

Currently, I am on rifampicin, ethambutol, and levofloxacin only.

Regarding my progress:

•	X-ray on 16th December 2025 (after starting treatment)

•	X-ray on 16th January 2026 showed significant improvement

•	X-ray on 16th February 2026 was almost identical to the January one, with no further visible improvement

I am worried about two things:

1.	The latest X-ray shows no additional improvement compared to the previous month.

2.	I sometimes have a 2–3 hour delay in taking my medications. For example, if my dose is scheduled at 10 AM, I may take it at 12 PM. I have never missed a dose, but the timing varies occasionally due to gastritis, which makes it difficult to eat and take medicines at the exact scheduled time.

Could this lack of further X-ray improvement indicate treatment failure?

Could these occasional 2–3 hour delays in medication timing cause resistance or negatively affect my recovery?
