On reverse engineering

Some days back I saw a crochet top pattern I really liked. However I knew I could reverse engineer it just from the pic hence I made it without buying the pattern(I am a broke student). I have no intention of selling it or showing any step of how I made it. Its for personal use and I just want to post the finished pics on social media. Will it be fine to do obviously I will credit the original creator.
