Anger destroyed the family
Excerpt from Mufti Ahmed Khanpuri’s speeches and notes.
Allah says:
“those who restrain their anger (wal kazimina)” (3:134)
Due to anger, so many families are destroyed.
Once, an eighty-year-old man came and lamented, “My daughter just got divorced.”
This family has children. When young people make mistakes, people often attribute it to immaturity or a lack of understanding. However, this man who divorced daughter is relatively old.
He is active in preaching and calling people to Allah.
In anger, a person does not realize his own foolishness. Later, when he came to his senses, he regretted it. Now his wife is separated from him.The children will spend their lives resenting their father.
They will say, “What a cruel father he was.”
Both the father and mother are experiencing bouts of sadness. And do you know what made him angry? You might think it’s a major or serious issue.
The child did not go to work because he was not feeling well. The father got angry, “You are making excuses.” This became a huge argument. The mother intervened. As a result of her interference, he divorced her.
Both homes were ruined — the husband’s family and the wife’s family, as if a fire broke out in both households.
This is a lesson for not considering anger as a disease and not curing it.
