NZXT Relay Sub no audio transferred?

I have a set of NZXT Relay speakers together with the subwoofer. The sub is properly connected and has power, but the 2.0 speakers do not seem to pass the signal down.

This has happened today, after 2.5 years of working flawlessly. Is this an actual manufacturing defect or am I missing something?
