I am tired of being told by Redditors that I need to pick a Political Ideology
Half of everyone on reddit wants you to pick an ideology and defend it. The Political Compass meme sub either will not let you post or will grill you to "flair up" if you don't pick an ideology to defend. Why do we have to pick an ideology when all ideologies are flawed? Is it because people want to put you into a category so they can dismiss what you say?
I know this is unpopular to say, but there are many people who will pick a political ideology and make it their personality. They will chose to be a tankie, an ancap, or whatever, and then weaponize their ideology to argue that anyone who disagrees with them is a mindless npc who cannot think for themselves. What are these people like in real life? They must be convinced that their ideology makes them smarter than 99 percent of the people they meet.
All political ideologies are flawed. Liberalism is just as flawed as anarchism. Maybe we should combine the best parts of each ideology. Why do we need to limit ourselves and our thinking to a narrow ideology like anarchism alone or liberalism alone?
