DFW Marathon Gate Changes

Trip: LAS - DFW - CLE

Arrive at DFW with almost 2-hours of layover scheduled. Nice...I had been up since 1:30AM due to sleep issues and had not eaten...time to hit the California Pizza Kitchen.

Check the app: arriving in terminal D and need to get to A, no worries just take train.

I haven't even made it to the train when the app pops up a gate change...still in A just different gate. Okay. Get to A and place an order for food.

Couple minutes later, another change...going to B. No food yet, drop some cash on the table for the drink and run for the train again.

Get to B and then it changes again. Back to the train. Get to the next gate. Order breakfast sandwich from Dunkin. While waiting for the food...another change.

Back to D...where I arrived! #grrr

Grab the food and eat hash browns while speed walking to the train, again. Arrive at D22, boarding should begin soon, but there's no plane and no staff. There is a lot of passengers waiting nearby and they are relaxed...they have not been playing musical gates. So...why was I?

Plane arrives, new crew arrives and it looks like they aren't letting the crew onto the plan quickly. Red flag.

Mechanical delay announced. Later they announce that the mechanical issue is minor, but the part that they need is waaay on the other side of the airport. Probably another half hour. I can deal with that.

But the ping pong gate changes...not cool.
