Which Bible should I quote from to debate Protestants?

If I use a Catholic one, they're obviously going to say something about the Church changing it.

But many Protestant translations imply wrong things, like the NIV saying teachings, instead of traditions in one verse from one of Paul's epistles.

Should I just use the KJV to prove a point to them?
