cw: philosophy. A bad super hero vs good super villain concept.
Super bad superhero vs super good supervillain concept:
The hero looks at the history of the US and sees that moral consideration was only given to people after they were treated very badly: Child Protective Services invented after people seeing abused children, the ending of slavery and creation of civil rights after seeing the mistreatments of those under cattle slavery and segregation, etc...
Therefore the hero determines the only way to get moral consideration for the oppressed people in the world is to beat the crap out of them and force people to see their Humanity. Beating the crap out of the homeless so people want to protect them and give them shelter, beating the crap out of refugees and illegal immigrants so people want to give them more rights and protections etc.
On the contrary the villain looks at the history of the world and sees that people were only able to fight for bettter things when other aspects on the hierarchy of needs were met: people don't form unions or fight for college debt relief until they have lower needs met, etc...
Therefore the villan tries to improve everyone's well being so they can fight for still higher order rights, securities and protections. Fightes for universal healthcare so unions dont have to fight for that in their contracts and can fight for something else etc.
