The Separation Trigger
When the person you’re attached to leaves, your mind doesn’t actually react to him leaving the room.
It reacts to loss of emotional access.
Your body reads distance as danger.
So your brain fills the silence with stories:
- “He’s with someone else.”
- “He forgot about me already.”
- “I’m replaceable.”
This isn’t coming from current evidence.
It’s coming from a nervous system that associates absence with abandonment.
You’re not sensing cheating — you’re sensing the feeling of being emotionally alone again.
