I reorganized my entire Google Drive instead of studying and now I have color-coded folders but zero knowledge
My final is in 36 hours. I had a very simple plan: wake up early, review chapters 5-9, do practice questions, sleep like a normal human. Instead, I opened my laptop and thought, “wow my Google Drive is kind of messy.” That was 5 hours ago.
I now have perfectly named folders like “BIO FINAL MASTER SET v3 ACTUAL FINAL,” subfolders for each lecture, a separate archive for “old irrelevant but emotionally important PDFs,” and a spreadsheet tracking which notes are “aesthetic” versus “chaotic.” Did I read the chapters? no. Did I make a beautiful cover page for notes I haven’t written yet? yes. I even adjusted the margins so it “feels academic.”
The worst part is I feel productive. My brain is like, look at this organization, we are thriving. Meanwhile if you asked me to explain literally anything from chapter 7 I would simply evaporate. Why am I like this. I swear the second an exam approaches my brain opens a side quest called “administrative excellence” and refuses to return to the main storyline.
