If you think it would be fun to predict some the Premier League run-in **and** see what this would mean for the final table, then I've got something for you: **the Premier League Run-In Predictor and Simulator**!

1. Switch to your preferred fixture difficulty indicator

2. Enter in as many or few results as you like. You auto-fill all or a team's fixtures based on win probabilities

3. See the updated table positions or hit Simulate\* to calculate the final table probabilities

4. Come back here and tell me why it's wrong probably\*\*

Let me know if this would be useful for other leagues and if so, which ones!

\---

\* When you hit simulate, it runs a "hot" simulation of outcomes to see the chances of various table finishes. "Hot" means that the underlying probabilities update every week of each simulation so it's not just a static forecast from today to the end of the season. Teams can go on winning or losing runs that make them even stronger or weaker for the following game week, for example

\*\* It uses Club ELO, which rewards clubs that are *consistent* *over a longer period* while factoring in some recent form, and relative strength home or away. This means that it doesn't account for 'how good City historically are at close title run-ins' or a team's injury crisis, recent surprise results, or manager bounce. In other words, it's fun to play around with to see how things change and what the tipping point would be for certain clubs, but it's not some magical crystal ball or my opinion
