Relationships feel mechanical

Do relationships feel really mechanical to anybody else?

I'm 21, I've only recently become good at making friends. My thing is - anything intimate from hugs to kisses, etc. all just makes me feel like im a machine. I feel like there's some warmth that intimacy is supposed to give me which I just don't get. The idea of somebody getting me in a vulnerable position just makes me want to run away.

I'm sure somebody on here can relate beacuse i've seen people talking about it before haha, I'm just looking to see some more confirmation of that.

Do you think it's autism or trauma? I've never been great with physical touch but I've been trying to train myself to be better with it. How have you managed to improve your relationship with intimacy?
