Simjack UT haptics - DIY pucks vs bought rumble motors
I'm thinking of adding some haptics to my pedals, as I have a bit of trouble gauging when ABS kicks in, when I'm locking up or when I'm loosing traction on throttle. Initially I thought of DIY solution using the cheap Nobsound card and conductive speakers, but I am concerned with the noise and constant plugging and unplugging - I use a wheel stand that I need to fold and move away from my desk to use my PC normally. On the other hand, I figure the speakers will allow me to use different frequencies for different things at the same time, which I can't imagine is the case with rumble motors in something like Simagic's haptics. I may be wrong though, so if anybody knows otherwise please let me know. In any case, I'm also concerned with price and noise - I really want to spend as little as possible while keeping the noise down for when my GF sleeps or watches some shows.
So in essence, what I'm looking for:
- low price
- ease of connecting and disconnecting frequently
- receiving multiple feedbacks at the same time (different frequencies for lockups, ABS etc)
- low(ish) noise
- compatibility with Simjack UTs Any recommendations please?
