Alternative to Sandisk sport clip plus?

My kid used a sandisk player for years to play music at bedtime and around the house, with a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. It stopped working a few months ago, and I bought and returned two glitchy lemons on amazon before finding an old sandisk on eBay, hooray! But it just got lost on an airplane. :(

What’s the best alternative? Ideally around $50-60, must work reliably! Needs good Bluetooth and decent battery life. Doesn’t necessarily need all that much storage or amazing sound quality. I want a dedicated player, not an old phone. Thanks for your suggestions!
