How feasible is it to take public bus from airport to hotel?

I am trying to get to centerhotel laugavegur with two luggages.

I am thinking to either get the flybus and hotel drop off (it’s surprisingly pricier than what I had in mind), or take public transportation.

Visiting from Norway where it is quite convenient to do so
