Help a newbie with build options and scaling

Hi!

I would appreciate if you guys could give me some advice regarding some builds that i am considering starting.

I'm thinking going either RF or Ball Lightning

Regarding RF, is Scion a viable starter? Or should i go with Chieftain?

And besides fire trap, is there another skill that is viable to go with RF for single target? I find fire trap a bit boring.

Ball Lightning i have to go Hiero right? And what are my options to scale the build into the endgame? Do i swap to spark once i have the budget or am i looking at other skill?

Sorry if these crap questions i'm not really up to build scaling and transitioning, most i was able to do solo was 2 watchstones.

Ty! Best regards
