How do I win as Yugoslavia

I probably have like 30 hours on the game and Yugoslavia is my favorite nation so I play it a lot but I always lose no matter what route i take. If I go democratic then I get jumped by all my neighbors. If I go communist then I get destroyed by Italy when I defend Albania and Bulgaria in the pan-Slavic workers congress. I don’t really understand air and naval combat or really even land combat yet. I just use only infantry. 9/0 with engineers, anti tank anti air, support artillery and field hospital. And I just use the default battle plan and I don’t like know anything besides industry.
