Disappointed at the lack of dedicated PvE, what are your thoughts?

I appreciate that some people thrive and want PvP however I wish there was a game mode for PvE without PvP it was my favourite part of Marathon (1&2) and Destiny 2, working with friends against a common goal without having to fight other players.

What are your thoughts?
