Does anyone have any headphone solutions? Faux-leather headband gets utterly destroyed by stubble.

I wear headphones for work and leisure approx. 10-12 hours at least 5 days per week. Unfortunately they always get destroyed within a few months. I think I'm a pretty clean person - I shower every day, I shave my head once or twice per week, I moisturise my scalp, take as many headphones-off breaks as I can etc.

Last time this started to happen I bought a padded cover that wraps around the headband and zips along the top to prolong the life, which has worked but it's unsightly when I need to use my webcam, really bulky, and definitely makes the headphones less comfy. In-ear options aren't really feasible for such long hours.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixes or maybe brands/models that might be less bad?
