help with the Risorgimento

I’m playing as Piedmont-Sardinia; it’s 1846, and I’ve established strong diplomatic alliances with countries like Prussia, France, Russia, and the Ottomans to secure 100% support in case Italy forms. The problem is that the Radicals are growing slowly, and to make matters worse, a peasant revolution broke out. Thinking it wouldn’t affect the Risorgimento, I crushed it—a grave mistake, since my Radicals dropped to 8%.

Can anyone tell me how to quickly increase the Radicals for the Risorgimento?

(P.S. I tried creating an illegitimate government to boost their numbers faster, but that didn’t help much
