Why does society act like your worth is tied to ur ability to reproduce? childfree and tired.
I'm over it. Everywhere you go it's the same story family, coworkers, even strangers “When are you having kids?” “You’ll change your mind.” “You need to have a legacy.” Like why does my value as a human have to be tied to whether I pump out babies? I have goals, hobbies, friendships, work, travel, literally so many ways I contribute to the world besides creating tiny humans.
Being childfree isn’t a phase, it’s a choice, and yet I constantly feel like society treats me like I’m broken or incomplete. I’m tired of explaining myself, tired of defending my life choices, and honestly tired of pretending I care about all the unsolicited baby advice.
Rant over. Just needed to vent to people who actually get it.
