Should I Update an iCloud Locked iPad to 26.3?
I got this cheap iPad Air 5th Gen that is disabled with FMI ON because it came with a magic keyboard included. I was planning to sell it for parts, but I heard about some possible exploits to bypass it and wanted to try it out. As far as I understand it only works with iPad OS 26.1 and under, and it needs to be on the "hello" screen.
I can't really tell what version this one is on, but Im assuming 17/18.
My question is, should I restore it with iTunes to the latest version (26.3) so I can hopefully bypass it once an exploit comes out? Or do I keep it like this?
I tried plugging it to ethernet with an adapter, so if the original icloud account somehow sent a delete signal it would reset, but that didnt work (the date is still wrong so im assuming it isnt even communicating online at all).
