What happens when you no longer love something that you dedicated your life to
Hi,
I don’t really know is somebody had been in a similar situation. But I am looking for people who did - and what happened to you afterwards, how did I you cope and idk, some maybe inspiring story.
I have worked extremely hard through the past 10 years (aka 15-20h shifts, not the best pay) in the music industry. First started off working on the bars on events and in the venues, completed 2 degrees in music, worked as merch, data analyst, the list could go on- besically climbed the ladder hoping that the networking and my work ethic and love towards music is going to take me somewhere.
I finally got a job that was full time and allowed me to work in music and with some amazing artists - unfortunately the workplace was toxic and unpleasant to work at.
Now I am looking for a new job but no longer feel the love of motivation towards music. I started to hate the idea of having anything to do with it and now I feel at loss as I have basically gave my all to it and now I am left with nothing (also lost the job). The music community was supposed to be supportive and build a community but what I have encountered in the past years was completely opposite - any stories that end nicely? Advice?
