Trash Customer, Even Worse Support and Policy.
I dash because it is usually low stress and I enjoy it, last night though set me off.
First order of the night at 5:06, a triple from Shop Rite paying $50. 74 unique items (90 altogether). I did the math in my head real quick and it was around $25+ an hour for this order. I took it.
Order A- 59 items
Order B- 28ish Items
Order C- 3 items
Order A customer of course speaks no English and half the things they want are out of stock. No problem, sent lots of pictures and got all the replacements.
Go to pay, mind you it is around 6:50 now. Order C and B were first. I scan and bag all of Order A, go to pay and it is declined. Well sometime during the bagging of their order, Customer A cancels the order. So now I am standing there like a moron trying to explain to the staff the customer literally just canceled their $298 order so I can't pay for it, as I now have to unload my cart of all the A bags. Staff was not happy at all.
So I am expecting to get paid (silly me) considering I did the entire order. I deliver B and C and I get $23. Check my extra pay... $2. Doordash gave me "half pay" for the canceled order, which was $2, which means it was only a 4$ base pay with the rest being tip. Call support and of course they give me the "we can't process extra pay" which is BS because I have gotten it before.
Why am I punished for the customer canceling while I was paying? At that point they should forfeit their tip. I am not done with support yet, they are suppose to be reaching back out to me by Sunday because this is BS. $2 for 90 minutes worth of work is unacceptable.
Alex V better pray I never get another order of theirs.
