[Discussion] Thoughts on hypothetically getting rid of the platinum trophy?

I know it may never happen, but it is a fun hypothetical. Most games have 1350 pts (1050 pts that aren't the platinum and 300 pts for the platinum).

What if games got rid of the Platinum, but in turn had extra trophies that added up to those 300 pts? Like extra challenges, harder challenges, or whatever.

I know people like the platinum and don't like whenever a game doesn't a platinum, but 300 pts for 1 trophy seems a bit weird, even for "I completed all the other trophies", which completing all the other trophies gets you 3 times the pts of the platinum anyway.
