Saturday Reviews: Chronos 1998 by John Francis Moore
This hidden gem is something I think everyone should check out
Gabriel Walker is a great protagonist for the series. He is just a dude who got time tech from the first Chronos and uses it for theft and pety crimes but as the series goes on he is thrust into all kinds of time shenanigans that change him into a totally other person from when he started out and uncovers a lot about his past + a variety of side characters that get their own spotlight and add to the mythos.
The world building throughout the series is great too and doesn't feel out of place.
The art is simple but good in my opinion and the character designs are distinct enough
The weakest element in here for me is the antagonists who are typical time travel villains that want to control the world and the action scenes are little and far between which makes it a slower read than other comics
Final Verdict:
If you love time travel stories with a great main protag and world building you owe it to yourself to check this series out 8.5/10
