Competitiveness and Medical Waivers

Question

Hello everyone! I wanted to get some feedback on my overall package and see if anyone had any insight into what will be my biggest hurdle; medical considerations.

For context:

- 3.72 GPA, comp sci, full ride scholarship

- 2+ years working at a major tech company (current), 2 years part time in college with high performance in both

- 99 Pilot / 96 CSO / 99 ABM / 89 Acad / 78 Verb / 90 Quant AFOQT

- 96 PCSM with 21 flight hours, no PPL.

- LORs from retired Air Force E-9 (coworker), retired USMC E-5 (former manager), and flight instructor

- Volunteering experience - regular donor to the Red Cross and organizer of public displays where I took a WW1 replica plane to public airshows and reenactments to talk about WW1 aviation history for several years. (should I remove?)

With that out of the way, I know my biggest hurdle is my medical considerations. I have one condition which is disqualifying without a waiver. In the past 5 years, 9 waivers were requested, 5 were approved according to AF medical guidance.

My doctor has already agreed to write me a summary letter which essentially says I am as low risk as one can be with my condition, and am not in a state that will impact my service, but I am worried that is will drag down my package.

Should I get my PPL fully to try and offset? Any suggestions or experience with the waiver process? Thank you all for your help.
