I’ve been washing my hands 30 times a day, will moisturiser fix them?

I’ve been endlessly washing my hands to avoid a cold that has been going around my house and now my skin is peeling and is dry and itchy. There’s a red, leathery patch on one of my fingers that is painful.

Will moisturising my hands make them fully recover?
