no connection to phone hotspot

whenever i try to connect my think pad to the hotspot on my iphone, i get the notification „no connection to this network possible“. my thinkpad still runs on windows 10, in case this information is necessary.

that’s what i’m doing:

1. enable hotspot on iphone

2. open wifi bar

3. select my hotspot, click „connect“

4. notification „no connection possible“

but my phone says that i’m connected (my thinkpad does not)

i’ve already disabled „maximize compatibility“ in the hotspot settings on my iPhone.

is there any solution?

is it a common problem with connections between thinkpads and iphones?
