Got a "bad" 3K lottery number and looking for assurance

School / Daycare

Just what the title says. I went into the 3K process with lots of optimism and a general feeling that I love that the free offerings in NYC have an emphasis on being random and equitable. Then I saw my number and it sucks and I'm despairing a little. Can someone offer perspective for why I shouldn't obsess over the number? Or offer any examples of people who got "bad" numbers and got into first choices (or top choices)?
