Did Em flipped a Joell Ortiz line on You’re Never Over?

These lines just clicked in my head, idk if you can call this a flip or a playful shot but it’s still intriguing:

On Slaugherhouse - Sound Off, released in summer 2009 Joell Ortiz has this line:

‘What I record goes down as the best

But the vets won't let that torch go’

On You’re Never Over, which released almost a full year after Slaugherhouse’s debut album, Em has this line:

‘I'm moppin' the floors with 'em, I keep tryna pass it, but they keep on droppin' the torch’

It’s also interesting because since late 2009 there were talks of SH signing with Shady Records and we know Em loved that first album of theirs.
