Bishop scores?
was wondering if anyone could help me figure out these Bishop scores cause as normal the midwives at the hospital don't explain a thing
I had a sweep at 4:30 on Wednesday, my community midwife there explained I had a bs of 5, 1-2 cm dialated, cervix shortened to 1cm and was slightly to the right.
around 9pm I went to the MAU to get checked out due to some concerns of baby's movements and also to make sure what I was feeling was actually contractions, they did a cervix exam and all I was told was still 1-2 cm dialated but she could have stretched me to 2, and to keep monitoring until contractions are closer together. Nothing else mentioned, I've checked my notes yesterday and she's marked me down as a BS of 2?
I'll break down both bs scores
4:30pm after sweep - BS 5 - 1~2 cm dialated - Consistency of cervix Medium - Canal length 1cm - Position Centre - Fetal Station -3
9pm at MAU - BS 2 - 1~2 cm Dialated- Consistency of Cervix Firm - Canal length 3cm - Position Posterior - Fetal Station-2
Is this normal? for me reading this is seems like my cervix progress has went backwards, which I didn't know was a thing, could it just be 2 completely diffrent interpretations?
I did have my bloody show and loose my plug aswell.
sorry for the long rambler just hoping someone could help break this down into something easier to understand
