We are on a spaceship!!

Earth and the planets not only rotate around the sun but the whole system is also moving through space. So we are technically on a biologically advanced self sustaining spaceship on an unknown preset course heading daily into uncharted territory so vast. How vast must the Universe be for us to be moving towards other stars but they remain the same size from our perspective?
