Return stolen gold to Rakath quest bug?

I think my quest is bugging out but i'm not sure why

When I encountered minsc and the others in the sewers i knocked roah moonglow (i think that's her name) out and took the stolen gold from her inventory. The quest updated and told me to return the gold to Rakath, however when i try to there's no dialogue option to give it to him.

I'll probably reload a save to before i took the gold, but what should i do differently, or is there anything to do differently so it won't bug out like this again?
