Opinions on and alternatives for Nivea Creme (in the blue tin)
Basically as the title says. I'm looking for an alternative for the classic Nivea creme in the blue tin.
I'm a little over three weeks into my course of 0.1% Differin and started using the Nivea creme about a week ago on a whim to soothe the redness and irritation that had appeared. It surprisingly worked really well and did an amazing job of restoring my barrier in a matter of a few days! I also love the luxurious, thick texture and, although I usually avoid scented skincare, the scent is not as overpowering as I had feared.
So why am I looking for an alternative? I have been noticing more closed comedones over the past week. It's not an alarming amount and they're not really visible from further away but it's undeniable that they have increased. I'm also still on the fence because I'm aware that this could be purging as that would be perfectly normal at this point.
Do or did any of you use the Nivea creme and what products do you find to be comparable in texture and barrier repair properties?
