Transmission issue
Hey guys I have a 2018 fusion with 78505 miles; maybe around early last month I stated to experience my car would not move when I’m pressing acceleration or would just completely lock out car would be on but wouldn’t move at all for maybe 20-30 seconds then kicks back in to moving forward; whenever I put it in reverse it tells me I’m not getting enough power to move ; This is what my specialist diagnostic report said “ TECH REPORT: DIAGNOSTIC PATH: TEST DRIVE WITH DATA STREAM TO OBSERVE CUSTOMER CONCERN - GEAR RATIO SLIP REPLICATED
ON TEST DRIVE DTC P0731 GRE RATIO ERROR 1ST GEAR. FLUID FULL/DISCOLORED - SLIPPING DURING 1-2 SHIFT ALONG WITH GEAR
RATIO ERROR POINTS TO DEGRADED/DAMAGED FRICTION ELEMENTS, 1ST GEAR CLUTCH PACK. LIFT INSPECTION FOUND NO EXTERNAL
IMPACT OR LEAKING - NO ELECTRICAL FAULT
A GEAR RATIO ERROR IS LOGGED WHEN THE TCM IS COMMANDING A RATIO SHIFT THAT THE TRANSMISSION CANNOT MECHANICALLY
EXECUTE. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO DEGRADE UNTIL COMPLETE LOSS OF AFFECTED RATIO/CLUTCH PACKS & OTHER COMPONENTS
WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION AS CLUTCH DEBRI CONTINUES TO CLOG FLUID PATHWAYS
“ they quoted me for $5700 to replace the complete transmission any advice on this situation; this is my first car and I kinda don’t wanna invest in a new car because I only have around $10,000 left to pay on this . I could use any words of advice on what to before paying 5700 fordmy entire transmission to be replaces
