Past due/cancelled AP

A couple years ago I was paying for WDW APs for my mom and I. Long story short, fell on hard times and couldn’t pay the $150 or so a month, so eventually my pass was canceled.

Times are better now, and I was thinking of getting new passes for when my son turns one this year, and remembered my old pass. Before I call and wait an astronomical amount of time, was just wondering if anyone had recent experience with a similar situation. Did they make you pay for the old one, or just start you fresh?
