Methadone induced hyperalgesia

Dear methadoners fellows. To those who have successfully tapered/quit methadone and had hyperalgesia. Did it solve the problem after a while ?

I’ve been on 40mg/day for 8 years and won’t go higher cause I’ve always planned to quit. I did a slow taper down to 5mg 4 years ago but when I got under 15mg the pain was just unbearable to the point where I was constantly considering taking my own life. Im a landscaper but can no longer work because of that L5S1 bulged disc pain. Its made my life really miserable. I think its hyperalgesia cause when I try to take 60mg it gives me a complete break from the pain. I managed to get a gram of Ibogaine and 2g of SR17018 and am planning to quit methadone soon. I know that the answer is more complex than « Yes » or « no » but some positive experiences would encourage me greatly. Thanks a lot for reading. Have a good day.
