>**The only person to decline the Nobel Peace Prize was North Vietnamese diplomat Le Duc Tho in 1973, who refused the award shared with U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger because, as he stated, "peace has not yet been established" in Vietnam, with the ceasefire agreement breaking down and the war continuing.**

THAT's *integrity*.

>Why Le Duc Tho Declined:

>• Violation of Truce:

>He felt accepting the prize would be inappropriate as the Paris Peace Accord, which he negotiated with Kissinger, was being violated by the U.S. and South Vietnam. (AI summary)

Meanwhile, the Ikeda cult ~~dolts~~ *faithful* are saying:

>NOW some Soka Gakkai members in Japan are saying that Ikeda *WAS* awarded the Nobel Peace Prize!

# He just chose to *give it back!*

>>**Did you know that Daisaku Ikeda declined the Nobel Peace Prize?**

>>**Did you know that Soka Gakkai Honorary President Daisaku Ikeda declined the Nobel Peace Prize in the past out of consideration for those around him?** Only Japanese people don't know. In recognition of Daisaku Ikeda's great achievements, he was presented with a plaque that is said to be the only one in the world and has been handed down to the Nobel family.

>>I would appreciate it if you are an informed person.

Now here's [DickHeada attempting to brag himself up](https://postimg.cc/rDJdScSG) in front of Austrian Count Richard Nikolaus von Coudenhove-Kalergi (1894-1972, founder of the Pan-European movement, 1960s), hoping he can be his best friend:

>"I have no desire for honors. In addition, even if someone tells me that he will give me honor, I would not accept it. I guess we can say that such a person is unique in the world." - [Ikeda](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1cj9ea3/oh_daisaku_you_arent_fooling_anybody/)

Sure, whatever, Icky-Duh - but it's NOT *YOU!!*

>[THIS](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Foowdsgxaxocf1.jpeg) public display shows 409 "honors" that Ikeda DID NOT REFUSE. In fact, Ikeda chased and slobbered after those like a [gutter drunk](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1kqfiit/how_i_could_have_helped_ikeda_manage_his_image_so/) chasing after that stranger's discarded half-empty bottle of Mad Dog 2020 with vomit on the outside and half-smoked cigarette butts. *OH* - Ikeda's perspective *CHANGED!*

>**Having clearly stated, "I will not accept such an honor. There is one such person in the world," he should absolutely not accept the award. Isn't that what integrity is?** He himself has instructed many young people that "the pursuit of fame and fortune is a corruption of faith," yet he has readily accepted this "award" which is nothing less than fame and honor, and has even exhibited it in various places, showing it off to not only members but also outsiders. This is nothing but a discrepancy between words and actions.

>[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/16ch92o/more_fun_with_ikedas_guidance_memo/) is an example of Ikeda discouraging young people from thinking they should pursue honors and status. Ikeda: "'Integrity'?? NEVER *HEARD* OF IT!"

>It’s weird that Ikeda boasted of all these purchased awards (hoarding, clutter, participation trophies) as if the sum total were some kind of flex:

>>>#he [Ikeda] banged on the table and proudly proclaimed, "I am the only person in the world to have received so many medals!!" [Source](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1p9yhwd/the_hidden_ambition_of_ikeda_sensei_behind_the/)

[Ikeda](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1qv6akv/ikeda_trying_to_take_all_the_credit_for_the/o3kpb8d/)

>Translation: **Made himself into a laughingstock by wasting so much money on these useless accolades that accomplished NOTHING and impressed NO ONE.**

>It turns out there are some things money can’t buy: character, good reputation, popularity for someone completely lacking in any positive or appealing traits, the admiration of others, genuine affection, lasting influence. [Source](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1r3fwaf/srs_question_is_there_anywhere_outside_of_sgi_and/o57rldj/)

Or dignity.

For reference, you can see what Ikeda thinks "dignity" looks like up top - "Here is my major award! Look at it - *LOOK AT IT!!* Praise me! CHEER FOR ME!! It's ALL and ALWAYS about *MEEEEE!*" [*SUCH* a fool!](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/1kwbnk1/ikeda_the_hypocrite_urging_entire_countries_and/mup7qhg/) Playing dress-up to collect his participation award. PATHETIC!!

Money can buy awards and honors *and silly medals* but it obvs can’t buy dignity or class - yet Ikeda['s ghostwriters] flap about it anyhow:

>"Derision is counted by posterity as the sound of honor." - [Victor Hugo](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/gkkjtq/sgis_cowardly_lions_removing_posts_where_they_got/)

It was a one-off obscure reference - from the *eulogy* Hugo wrote for French writer Georges Sand's funeral. Not from one of his major philosophical works by any means.

And here's a REAL Victor Hugo quote:

>"What is called honors and dignities, and even honor and dignity, is generally fool's gold. - [Victor Hugo](https://www.reddit.com/r/sgiwhistleblowers/comments/g5qxxv/ikeda_misquoting_victor_hugo_derision_is_counted/)"

*oooh* - those don't *match!*

Former Mainichi Shimbun reporter Toshiaki Furukawa has alleged that **the acquisition of personal awards and honors for Ikeda has been budgeted by the Gakkai as "charity services"**.[225] [Source](https://archive.is/ubyi2#selection-6803.1-6819.1)

Sure beats doing *anything* for anyone *needy*, don't it??? Ikeda has always been his OWN favorite "charity".

Just an FYI, there is only ONE person in the world who has ever turned down the Nobel Peace Prize he'd won - and it WASN'T Icky-Duh!
